The Key to Life Breast Cancer Assistance Program
is a grant program through the American Breast Cancer Foundation that provides
financial assistance to uninsured or underinsured women and men of all ages for
breast cancer screening and diagnostic tests, treatment and support items.
Those with income levels of 300% or less of the HHS poverty guidelines may
qualify. Those with an income over 300% have the opportunity to request
hardship consideration.
Financial assistance grants are available to
eligible women and men to assist with the following diagnostic tests and
services:
Clinical Breast Exams
Screening and Diagnostic Mammograms
Ultrasounds
Surgical Consultations
Emergency Biopsies
The grants in this program are awarded to the
applicants to assist with the payment of designated health services. The
grants are paid directly to the health-care service providers. The
applicant is responsible for properly applying for all necessary grants and
making financial arrangements with the health-care providers for any amounts
exceeding the grant award.

Life Breast Cancer Assistance Program directly through the national

EST, Fri 9-12p EST.
Geographical, income, insurance, and health
information are gathered during this interview to determine if the applicant may
qualify for the Key to Life program. Once an applicant completes
the phone interview their applications forms are mailed to them.
At the present time grant funds are limited and
applicants may be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis, or put on a
waiting list.
