Martin Memorial Cancer Exercise Program

Martin Memorial Cancer Exercise Program is an ongoing option for individuals currently receiving treatment at the Martin Memorial Robert & Carol Weissman Cancer Center.  The goal of this program is to help participants achieve a minimum of 30 minutes per day of exercise, five days per week and to provide an environment of support for current and former cancer patients.  This program is not covered by the majority of insurance plans; participants must consult with their insurance carrier to determine coverage.

The Cancer Exercise Program is offered on Monday through Friday from 12 - 5 p.m.  Health and fitness center staff will supervise your exercise and are available for questions.  In addition, you will have the option to utilize the facility on Saturdays.  This program is offered at our Jensen Beach, Palm City,, South Stuart and Hobe Sound locations.  A three month membership is $87.

The health and fitness centers are medically-based fitness centers which provide medical resources and monitor health conditions.  Members have access to highly trained staff, dedicated to improving and sustaining individual well-being through fitness.

Health and fitness personnel have undergone special training and obtained advanced certifications to ensure members get the best possible instruction, personal training, fitness assessments and other services.  The health and fitness centers are also overseen by a health and safety committee, led by medical doctors and clinical personnel.  The committee provides recommendations and guidance for programming at the fitness centers.
