The South Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is proud to announce the availability of grant funds for fiscal year 04/01/2010 to 03/31/2011. Applications for breast cancer and breast health programs from nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies and educational institutions in Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties are eligible for funding.

Please note special consideration will be given to those nonprofit organizations that meet the funding priorities listed in the RFA

The promise of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for everyone and energizing science to find the cure. The Organization runs one of the most innovative, responsive grant programs in breast cancer today. The Komen South Florida Affiliate is proud to have sent over $460,000 to the Komen Grants Program for research in 2008/2009. In addition to funding research, the Affiliate funds non-duplicative, community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment projects for the medically underserved in Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties. In 2008/2009, we awarded $1.2 million to local community programs.

Our grant cycle runs from 04/01/2010 through 03/31/2011. Eligible applications must be postmarked by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2009. Announcements of funding will be made on 04/01/2010.
