BREAST HEALTH AWARENESS & ACCESS PROJECT INDIANTOWN
Who we are
Indiantown Community OutReach, Inc. (ICOR) is a Nonprofit Corporation
for charitable and education purposes. A grass root organization that
has been
servicing the community since 2000 with a dedicated staff and
volunteers. ICOR was
incorporated in September 2001 and our Non-Profit 501 C (3) status was
established
in June 2003.
Mission
To educate our community by providing and developing programs that will
enlighten
and empower disadvantaged families and individuals through preventative
health
education initiatives.

ICOR has received funding from the Susan G. Komen Foundation South Florida
Affiliate to implement the Breast Health Awareness & Access Project of
Indiantown to reach over 800 impoverished Hispanic and African woman with breast
health outreach, self breast exam (SBE) education, and financial assistance with
medical bills, language translation services and with transportation, if needed.
In addition, in helping to provide referral information for services and help
with health care appointments, for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.
